Professional Floristry Wedding Course

Workshop 6th November. The Bridge Wordsworth Street Penrith 10am – 2pm. £40 Create 3 practical pieces.

Design for a ceremony table (and top table), working with Gypsophila to create that perfect ball shape and how to add in other flowers. Then learn techniques to create a stunning, yet simple corsage using decorative wire and cold glue.

Theory: Planning and pricing an order to minimise waste and create profit. Materials not included

Workshop 13th November – The Bridge – Wordsworth Street – Penrith. 10am -2pm. £40

Create a mini – Wedding under the guidance of Valerie Jayne create 4 pieces across a wedding and cost them up using the correct learned techniques. Over the full floristry course, create a Bridal bouquet, a body adornment, a design for the venue and a buttonhole. Materials are not included.

The above workshops are the last 2 in a series of 5 – they can be booked either individually or together. They are designed for those that have previous floristry experience, with an understanding of the elements and principles of design.

Wednesday 27th November Traditional Wreath making Class.

The Bridge. Wordsworth Street. Penrith. 10am – 2pm £35

Join me in a relaxed, small group environment to create your own traditional – style wreath ring.

All materials provided, please bring your own wire cutters. Tickets can be booked now. Mince pies by J& J Graham.

Thursday 28th November Modern Wreath making Class.

Stainton Village Hall. 9.45am – 12.15pm £35

Join me to create a modern twist on the traditional wreath, use groupings and alternative foliages to create a design with a difference.

All materials provided, please bring your own wire cutters. Tickets can be booked now. Mince pies by J& J Graham.

Sunday 1st December Traditional Wreath making Class. Stainton Village Hall 1pm – 4pm £35 including refreshments by the School PTA,

This is an event to raise Funds for the PTA for Stainton C of E Primary School – Tickets available from the school office. All materials provided. Please bring your own wire cutters.

Christmas Table Decoration

Thursday 5th December Stainton Village Hall 9.45am – 12.30pm. £7

Join us for an informal community class creating a Christmas table decoration with a candle. Spend time with others, enjoying some social time whilst getting creative with some flowers.

Mince pies by J & J Graham please bring your own materials foliages, flowers / cones etc and a pot, (pots are available in class at £2 each)

Coming soon …..Community Flower Groups

From January onwards, 2 monthly community groups will (hopefully) run, these will be on the first Thursday of the month 9.45am – 12noon in Penrith and the second Thursday of the month at Stainton.

These groups are informal social groups with a theme and tuition each month. Materials will not be provided

Cost: £8.00 each per session.

Within these groups the emphasis will be on the well-being created from meeting together and being creative with fresh materials. These classes will be suitable for beginners through to more advanced flower arrangers (Val will use her expertise to challenge and guide you to create a piece appropriate to you and your experience.).
